Admiral Paeta was the commander of the Free Planets Alliance Second Fleet at the Battle of Astate in Imperial Year 487.
During the battle, Admiral Paeta was severely injured and forced to turn over command of the Second Fleet to his subordinate, Commodore Yang Wenli. Though Admiral Paeta's friend, Vice Admiral Pastoll, was killed in action at Astate, Paeta survived the battle and continued to serve in the Alliance military.
