Erlache was a Rear Admiral of the Imperial Navy killed in action at the Battle of Astarte. Along with Vice Admiral Staaden, he was opposed to Reinhard's inital battle plan and disobeyed Reinhard's order, resulting in the complete destruction of his ship, the Heilenheim, at the hands of the 4th Fleet under command of Commodore Yang Wen Li during the Alliance counterattack.
