A frozen world in the Iserlohn Corridor, Kapche-Lanka possessed considerable natural resources and was constantly contested by the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance.
Strategic Significance[]
While Kapche-Lanka did possess considerable natural resources, neither the FPA nor the Empire truly desired to mine those resources. Combat on the planet's surface was maintained in perpetuity simply because neither side wished to see the other claim the planet's resources. It was a constant, counter-productive war of attrition that would continue until Kapche-Lanka's orbit decayed to the point where it collided with a nearby gas giant and was obliterated.
Kapche-Lanka is mostly notable for being the site of Reinhard von Lohengramm's first military victories.
