Analagous to the Galactic Empire’s Valkyrie fighters, Spartanians were small attack craft designed to intercept enemy warships and destroy them. Small, fast and highly mobile, these fighter craft were armed with powerful laser weapons that could cut through the armor of enemy warships with relative ease. Integral to fleet tactics, these fighters were so small that they frequently required refueling mid-battle, though luckily they were so lightly armored that they never required mid-battle repairs (because the hits just went straight through the thing).
