An admiral of the imperial fleet, admiral Grimmelhausen was dispatched to the Van-Fleet starzone in March of 794. Though exceptionally old by contemporary standards, the commander of the invasion force, admiral Muckenberger, assigned Grimmelhausen's fleet a key position in the battle at the behest of Kaiser Friedrich IV, who pitied Grimmelhausen. Friedrich IV's possibly felt indebted to Grimmelhausen, as the man had once served as the Kaiser's military aid-de-camp, before Friedrich IV ascended to the throne.
Of admiral Grimmelhausen, Rheinhard von Lohengramm said: "He's lived four times longer than I have, has a fleet 50 times larger than I do, and he's still incompetent."
Grimmelhausen was born in the year 718.
